David Chu, patriarch of the Mission Hills family, will receive KPMG’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2011 Golf Business Forum next April in Dubai. The award has been around since 2006 and is “dedicated the ambassadors of the game and business of golf.” Chu joins a prestigious group of past winners: Gary Player, Ken Schofield, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman. Perhaps your have heard of some of them? KPMG calls Chu the “Father of Golf in China” — there seem to be a few of those — saying “he is the driving force behind golf’s global growth and development, as he explores new horizons and popularizes the game of golf in China.”
Nicklaus, Palmer, Player, Norman … Chu?
